Roland Sascha Albanese is a visual artist and photographer whose work moves between physical and digital art practices. Working under the artistic signature by_rsa, his work explores the transformation of real-world observations into abstract visual compositions.

Photography forms a central foundation of his artistic practice. Albanese captures fragments of reality — reflections, surfaces, structures, light and fleeting moments — transforming them into visual compositions that shift between documentation and abstraction.

Expanding from this photographic observation, Albanese developed the evolving artistic framework d_Drawing.

d_Drawing 1.0 represents the early stage of this exploration. Liquid color, pigment and spontaneous motion create organic visual formations that resemble drawing processes generated through fluid movement.

d_Drawing 2.0 continues this evolution, where color dynamics, movement and digital interpretation lead to more complex abstract visual structures. The works explore the relationship between natural physical processes and contemporary digital transformation.

The designation by_rsa connects different aspects of the artist’s work — photography, abstract experimentation and conceptual visual studies.

Albanese’s works exist within both the traditional art world and the emerging Web3 ecosystem. Physical works and prints have been presented in galleries, including Gallery Reitz in Zurich.

In parallel, selected works are released as unique digital pieces on blockchain platforms such as Objkt, OpenSea and Rarible. These NFTs function as verifiable digital originals and decentralized archives of the artworks. Additional platforms may be included in the future as the project continues to evolve.

In selected cases, collectors of the NFTs may request the corresponding physical print of the artwork.
